Advantages of Reston becoming a town for all residents:
From RCA's website at: http://www.restoncitizensassociation.org/

Empower one voice to represent and protect Reston exclusively C the Mayor

Give Reston the clout of incorporation when working with developers, the county and the state

Simplify governancesome may try to label the Town an "extra layer of government" but it would actually streamline government by replacing functions spread throughout current Reston organizations

Know whos in charge (the Mayor and Town Council), instead of having to sort out the "alphabet soup" of community organizations and those of the county and state

Get more and better services, more effectively and efficiently, possibly for less money

Make our founding goals permanent at last, by establishing them in the Town Charter

Unite all segments of Reston (including the Town Center, which is now separate from RA) Greater interaction with like communities in US and worldwide
