Around Reston

The Reston Community Center is funded through a special assessment (.06 per hundred dollars of assessed property value) paid by residents and businesses of Small Tax District No. 5 of the Hunter Mill District. In turn, residents and businesses (and their employees) of Small Tax District No. 5 enjoy lower fees than non-residents, as well as priority registration for classes/workshops and advance ticket sales for theatre performances.

General Boundaries of Small Tax District No. 5 are as follows: Reston, Deepwood, Stratton Woods, Fox Mill Woods, Polo Club and all residents north of Stuart Mill Road; east of Fox Mill, Monroe and Stuart Roads; south of Route 7; and west of Hunter Mill and Hunter Station Roads. If you are unsure as to whether you live in Small Tax District No. 5, call the RCC at 703-476-4500 (TTY), and an information clerk will assist you.
