Swim Instruction and Water Aerobics

YMCA Fairfax County Reston
A state of the art facility that includes a 25-yard pool with six lap lanes and ramp access. The Y offers swimming lessons for youth as well as open swim hours. Young people may also participate in the Y�s water exercise classes.
Swimming lessons are offered year round; Boys and Girls (6 � 14+)
Also offered:  Stroke Development Program
Water fitness classes are scheduled and updated each month
Special aquatics events such as �Swim and a Movie�

Reston Association
There are 15 neighborhood outdoor pools throughout Reston. A Reston Association pool and tennis pass is required for every member visiting the pools.  Non-resident pool memberships are available.
Some programs offered include: Private and group swimming lessons; Red Cross Certification; swim teams; water fitness classes; and water safety instruction

Water Safety Instruction

Reston Association
Reston Association is looking for potential lifeguards! Taught by Certified American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructors, each session includes 32 hours of classroom and in-water training. Certificates awarded:  Lifeguard, CPR- Professional Rescuer, Preventing Disease Transmission, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator.) Graduates are eligible to work for the Reston Association Aquatics Department.
